Risk Models for Hazardous Material Transportation Subject to Weight Variation Considerations

چکیده
Reasonable risk models in hazardous material transportation are of practical significance, for safeguarding the lives and properties, protecting natural environment, facilitating sustainable development. The existing can be classified into summation maximum models, which result overreliance on overall or local risk. To overcome these problems, this article, we present two novel considering different aggregation methods risks. first model is supported by an ordered weighted averaging (OWA) operator, assigns weights according to position segment process aggregation, second state variable weight (SVW) vector, adjusts segments change values. Generally speaking, OWA used under situation with complete weighting information, whereas SVW could incomplete information. Based analysis mechanism, show that both effectively balance risks assisted variety. Numerical experiments provided illustrate validity proposed models.

Value-at-Risk model for hazardous material transportation
This paper introduces a Value-at-Risk (VaR) model to generate route choices for a hazmat shipment based on a specified risk confidence level. The objective is to determine a route which minimizes the likelihood that the risk will be greater than a set threshold. Several properties of the VaR model are established. An exact solution procedure is proposed and tested to solve the single-trip probl...
متن کاملAiding Route Decision for Hazardous Material Transportation
This research attempts to build a framework for determination of optimal routes for hazardous material transportation. Previous works have suggested incorporation of many conflicting objectives in the analysis, such as travel cost, population exposure, environmental risk or security concerns. Multiplying the number of objectives leads to complex shortest path problems that often have several ef...
متن کاملEnvironmental risk analysis of hazardous material rail transportation.
An important aspect of railroad environmental risk management involves tank car transportation of hazardous materials. This paper describes a quantitative, environmental risk analysis of rail transportation of a group of light, non-aqueous-phase liquid (LNAPL) chemicals commonly transported by rail in North America. The Hazardous Materials Transportation Environmental Consequence Model (HMTECM)...
متن کاملGeneralized route planning model for hazardous material transportation with VaR and equity considerations
Recently, the Value-at-Risk (VaR) framework was introduced for the routing problem of a single hazmat trip. In this paper, we extend the VaR framework in two important ways. First, we show how to apply the VaR concept to a more realistic multi-trip multi-hazmat type framework, which determines routes that minimize the global VaR value while satisfying equity constraints. Second, we show how to ...
متن کاملApplication of Chaos Theory in Hazardous Material Transportation
Risk factors are generally defined and assigned to road networks, as constant measures in hazmat routing problems. In fact, they may be dynamic variables depending on traffic volume, weather and road condition, and drivers' behavior. In this research work, risk factors are defined as dynamic variables using the concept of chaos theory. The largest Lyapunov exponent is utilized to determine the ...
